... hat mich schon in meiner Kindheit in seinen Bann gezogen. Viele Jahre später begann ich parallel zu meinem Broterwerb in der IT-Branche 2005 mit Heißglas zu arbeiten, nicht wissend, daß dies einmal mehr als nur ein Hobby sein würde. -  Nach 28 Jahren in der Geschäftswelt gab ich mir schließlich selbst die Erlaubnis, das zu tun, was ich liebe: Glasblasen und andere Heiß- & Kaltbearbeitungstechniken professionell zu lernen. Im Jahr 2020 beendete ich meine 3-jährige Ausbildung an der „Swedish National School of Glass“ und es wird immer spannender, mein eigenes Glas mit all den verschiedenen Techniken zu kreieren.

      Mein handgemachtes Glas ist oft inspiriert von meinen inneren Bildern und Erinnerungen.  
Freundliche Farben wie "Grün-Blau" und "Gelb-Orange", wie die Farben des Ozeans oder des "Indian Summer", verleihen dem Glas Tiefe. Meine "Hand-Werke" haben klassische, organische Formen und sind massiv und stabil. Die Kombination der Farben mit der einfachen Linienführung strahlt für mich Kraft und gleichzeitig Wärme aus. Viele meiner Stücke sind funktional, wie Schüsseln und Teller, und alle sollen sie Farbe und Freude ins Haus bringen.
Ich erprobe und kombiniere gern verschiedene Heiß- und Kaltbearbeitungstechniken. Aus spontan geborenen Glasstücken entstehen oft Ideen für Installationen und Mixed Media Projekte, die langsam wachsen und Gestalt annehmen - ein spannender Prozeß !

Arbeiten mit Glas bedeutet für mich,
die Freiheit zu haben, kreativ zu sein und meine inneren Bilder in Glas zu formen,
Selbstwirksamkeit zu spüren,
und ganz besonders:    ein Lächeln im Gesicht zu haben.
Und ich hoffe, mein Glas macht Dir ebenso Freude wie mir.

And finally, after 28 years in the business world I gave myself the permission to do what I love:
to learn glassblowing and other hot and cold glass techniques in a professional way.

more and more exciting to create my own glass with all these different techniques.

      My handmade glass is often inspired by my inner pictures and memories. Friendly colors like "greenishblue" and "yellorange", as the colors of the ocean or the „Indian Summer“, give a depth to the glass. My artisanal pieces have classic, organic shapes and are strong and stable. The combination of the colors with the simple lines radiates power and warmth at the same time for me. Some of my pieces are functional, like bowls and plates, but all should bring color and joy into a home.
I enjoy trying and combining various hot and cold glass working techniques. Spontaneously born pieces of glass often give rise to ideas for installations and mixed media projects that grow slowly and take shape - an exciting process!

Working with glass means to me
to be free to be creative and form my inner pictures into glass,
to feel self efficiency seeing the results,
but very special:   having a smile in my face.
And I hope, my glass will give people pleasure as well.

      Schon in meiner Kindheit war ich fasziniert von Glasperlen und den unvollendeten Mosaiken meines Vaters auf dem Dachboden... in meiner Erinnerung wie kleine Sonnenstrahlen in meinem Leben.

      Jetzt bin ich süchtig nach Glas. Aus irgendeinem Grund berührt dieses Material mein Inneres.
Ich ertappe mich dabei, wie ich mit einem unwillkürlichen Lächeln im Gesicht am Glasofen stehe. 
Meiner Vorstellung langsam eine Form zu geben, im Dialog mit der heißen Masse, ist für mich ein zutiefst befriedigender Prozess. Und manchmal entstehen aus Fehlern und ungeplanten Ereignissen gerade die interessantesten Stücke .... neue Möglichkeiten, andere Blickwinkel, ein ungeplanter Ausdruck.

     Heißglas fordert meine volle Aufmerksamkeit im Moment, meinen Respekt und auch Mut - es ist eine physische und mentale Herausforderung. Und ebenso ein Lehrer - ich muß meine Komfortzone verlassen und akzeptieren, dabei nicht alles unter Kontrolle zu haben. Als Perfektionist lerne ich nun, die Dinge fließen zu lassen. Wundervoll .....
Ich freue mich darauf, mein Wissen und handwerkliches Können ständig weiterzuentwickeln.
Und mein Wunsch ist es, andere Menschen lächeln zu machen, wenn sie eine meiner Glas-Kreationen in den Händen halten.

         Remembering my childhood, I was always fascinated by glass marbles and found old glass sheets in the attic from my father's attempts to make mosaics ... in my memory like little sunbeams in my life.
        Now I'm addicted to glass. I catch myself at the smelting furnace with a spontaneous smile on my face. For some reason, this material touches me inside.
Giving form to my idea slowly, in dialogue with the hot glass, is a deeply satisfying process for me. 
And sometimes mistakes and not planned events create the most interesting pieces .... new possibilities, different perspectives, an unplanned expression.

        Hot glass demands my full attention at the moment, my respect and courage too - it's a physical and mental challenge. And also a teacher - I have to leave my comfort zone, thereby accepting the risk not having everything under control. As a perfectionist, I'm learning now letting the things flow. Wonderful .....
I look forward to constantly developing my knowledge and craftsmanship. 
And my wish is to make other people smile when they hold my glass creations in their hands.
